One of the many things we love about Reno-Tahoe area is the ongoing schedule of events that are often family focused and a lot of fun. Here are the best ones coming up that have something for everyone. All of these events offer local food, unique entertainment and engaging in the outdoor mountain lifestyle.

Oktoberfest

Camp Richardson | October 4th - 5th

Known as Lake Tahoe’s most authentic Oktoberfest, October 4 and 5, 2025 from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. Many activities and food featuring: Free admission, parking and bike spaces, beer and wine garden, traditional Bavarian food, live music, a variety of local vendors, family friendly events and special activities for children. Dragon Lights Festival

Reno | Sept 26th - Nov 30th
Dragon Lights Reno returns to the scenic Wilbur D. May Arboretum and Botanical Gardens in Rancho San Rafael Park with an all-new theme: Odyssey of Waves & Woods. This event features not only a beautiful display of lights and creativity, but also activities for children to engage in.

43rd Annual Great Italian Festival

Reno | Oct 11th - 12th
Downtown transforms into Little Italy with a sauce cooking contest, lots of pasta, an Italian farmers market, food booths and incredible free, live entertainment all weekend long. Bring your appetite, one of the favorites about this event is the opportunity to test and try all the amazing sauces on your pasta!
